The most flexible tool to do this on Linux is your shell. What you need: * A tool to extract the information you want to use for renaming. To use EXIF data, maybe use [1], but there are many tools available. * Basic shell understanding. The first part is quite easy and specializes your capabilities for this very task. The second is a little more effort, but will benefit you a lifetime. Everyone should know how to use this ultra-flexible framework known as Unix/Linux shell, instead of just jumping at partial solutions for very specific problems just because they have a GUI. GUI tools make one specific task very easy, but make everything impossible the authors have not thought of. ____________________ [1] http://exiv2.org/ -- http://stefan-klinger.de o/X Send plain text messages only, not exceeding 32kB. /\/ \ ____________________________________________________________________________ darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
