In the "contrast brightness saturation module" go to drawn mask under "blend", click the "add brush" pencil icon, draw an arbitrary line which will become the start of your mask, You can adjust the position with the control points you will see when you hover over the line, and width of the mask with the scroll wheel, "mask blur" will give you a ton of feathering so you do not get a sharp line between the areas.
Play with brightness AND contrast. This module can do a lot.
