For this to be generally useful, it should support editing any Exif, XMP,
or IPTC field, but I remember there was one user repeatedly asking for a
way to edit the IPTC fields for location and such, which are required when
delivering photos to many news agencies.

On the questions of number of images and method of selection, I would find
it most useful as a batch operation applied to every photo in the set
currently selected, like most light table operations.
