I'd say if you remove the config and cache directory you're done.
Then you have to reimport your collection (which reads the .xmp).
But note that all your (module) settings, preferences etc. as well as
your tag library (if you have one) is gone, too - the latter only
populated by the tags attached to existing images from the xmp.
