Hello All,

DNG produced with a Nikon LS5000 scanner show a skull instead of the
image.

With DT 2.6 everything was in place.
what software is used for the scanner to produce the DNG?

hello Bernhard,

Vuescan.

DT 2.6 could decode those files.

I have 12k+ DNGs of those scans..

thanks for your help,
I have two of those files out of LS4000 with Vuescan from 2017 and 2015 but both open fine in dt 3.0 in debian sid.
Also the thumbs are shown.
Only one of the files complains about "color matrix not found" when opening in darkroom.
So I fear I cannot really help you with this.
(all the other thousands of scans I saved to 4-channel tiff since I do not see any advantage in dng - same file size, but reduced number of applications I can open those files ... and in darktable I can also work on those tiffs).
