Dear Guillermo,

I need to apologize for questioning this observation. I repeated/tested
everything making sure that I apply the same style and apparently it is me who
made the mistake.

I have also redone my presets. The importing of my Fujifilm raw files behave
as expected now. This presets feature is great.

A big thank you for your responsiveness and your advice to help me through
this. I appreciate this very much as a beginner.

Regards,

Marc.

Are you sure you're using exactly the same style when you auto-apply and in the
latter manual application? If the module names are not exactly the same (say
LUT and LUT 1), darktable will create a duplicate of the module instead of
reusing the one that's already there.

Test this: open a picture without the style auto-applied, and apply it
manually. The modules in both pictures have exactly the same name? If yes, I
would say it looks like a bug. You can report it here:

Guillermo

Dear Guillermo,

Thank you for your immediate reaction. In the list of applied modules (to the
right) the Color Lookup Table module appears indeed 2x. But the Tone Curve
module is there only 1x. The same is true in the compressed History Stack.

Please advise ?

Thank you,

Marc.

cancelled the Base Curve to be applied and use a Tone Curve and a Color Lookup
Table from a Style that I found a Github. Now when I apply that style a 2nd
time the colors change again and the Color Lookup Table appears 2X, even in a
compressed History Stack. Re-executing the style gain does not change the
colors anymore. Compressing again gives the same double Color Lookup Table
appearance in the History Stack.

Could it be that the second time you apply the style a new instance of the Tone
Curve and LUT modules is created, instead of overwriting the first one? Check
in the list of applied modules (to the right) if they appear once or twice.

Regards,

Guillermo
