reliable backups.

That's exactly how I see this.
I started to compile recently. But:
- I use the "official" binaries for "production"
- I have a second install compiled myself to a custom install path with
a different profile and cache folder using a small sample of my fotos in
a also different picture folder
This is to get an impression of what's going on in dt development and
perhaps do some very small contributions every now and then.
To summarize: for me it's just an opportunity to play around without
corrupting my serious work ...
