This ist a decent fast image browser to browse your folders It can display a lot of Raw-format images (the contained preview Image). In most Linux environments darktable is configured as a Add on in geeqie. With a right click in the context menue you can send an image to darktable directly for editing in darktoom mode, also to gimp etc.. Geeqie also has capabilities fot tagging, rating and editing coments which can be stored in the file (depending of file type) or in xml sidecars. Sadly xmp not comatible with darktable (at least when I tried 1½ years ago). This would be great, if this would be integrated. But it is already fine for preselecting images before importing to darktable and for fast browsing. http://www.geeqie.org/ best regards, Frieder ____________________________________________________________________________ darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to [email protected]
