I truly doubt that this is a dt bug. It is far more likely that somehow
I have created a problem in one of my sidecar files. For that reason I
do not feel that I should waste the time of developers at this moment.
I hoped that somebody could advise me of an appropriate way to 'fix' the
situation.

no one will benefit from your discovered problems unless you file a bug
report with the requested information.
the developers look at the bug report but I doubt few have time to commit
to reading the "discussion" list.
