Did you also install the NVidia drivers as flatpak? I understood that flatpak

An alternative would be to compile dt yourself, it's not all that difficult if
you follow the instructions provided with the source.

Or just wait a bit longer, the announcement of version 4.4.2 on darktable.org
is dated 2023-07-22... Packagers may need a few days to package a new version
(more if they are away for holidays)

Hi Remco
Thanks a lot for your comments.

a) NVidia as flatpak? That's an option, but I would need to find out how
to do it. Same problem as with the next option.

b) Compile myself: Sure, that's an option. I'm not scared of it, I've
done worse (like in the 90ies, when everyone was using SunOS, and I
tried to compile open source software on AIX ;-). Main problem here: I'm
lazy ;-) (I call it "efficient", but others use other words).

c) Sure. Just wait. No problem with that. 4.4.0 is great already, and
this option is fully compatible with being lazy ;-) I really appreciate
the efforts, and the packagers deserve all the holiday that is possible.

Ok, there is a chance that my impatience and curiosity is bigger than my
laziness. Hmm. Yes. Seems so -- starting the download of the source now ;-)

Best regards,
        Michael
