Ivan, in my case it turns out that the lens just isn't in the database, despite it being old and common. Lenses with very similar names are there, but mine isn't.
Apparently, the lens name can sometimes be found in a picture's metadata in slightly different formats. I'm not sure which tag exactly Lensfun and Darktable use to identify the lens. In your case, if you are certain that the non-AF lens does not exist and that you have the same model, then you can select it manually by clicking on the lens name and picking from the menu. But it looks to me like they are different lenses.
