very interesting. so you're saying your database in dt is corrupted, but reading new images will give the correct result? maybe those affected images have been read into dt with an older version of libexiv2?
in any case, if you update the images table to set orientation=-1 using the sqlite3 command line utility, dt will interpret exif stuff as uninitialized next time and re-read it from scratch (and also update the xmp). -jo On Tue, Feb 12, 2013 at 2:26 PM, thouks <[email protected]> wrote: > Yepp! > > exiv2 pr P1070321.JPG > Dateiname : P1070321.JPG > Dateigröße : 6011394 Bytes > MIME-Typ : image/jpeg > Bildgrõße : 4592 x 3448 > Kamerahersteller: Panasonic > Kameramodell : DMC-G3 > Zeitstempel des Bildes: 2013:02:08 17:24:35 > Bildnummer : > Belichtungszeit : 1/13 s > Blende : F1.8 > Belichtungskontrolle: 0 EV > Blitz : Blitz nicht ausgelöst, festgelegter Modus > Blitzkontrolle : 0 > Brennweite : 45.0 mm (35 mm äquivalent: 90.0 mm) > Entfernung des Motivs: > ISO Geschwindigkeit: 160 > Belichtungsmodus: Automatisch > Messmodus : Mehr-Segment > Makromodus : Aus > Bildqualität : Roh > Exif-Auflösung : 4592 x 3448 > Weißabgleich : Automatisch > Vorschau : image/jpeg, 6345 Bytes > Copyright : > Exif-Kommentar : > > exiv2 pr P1070321.RW2 > Dateiname : P1070321.RW2 > Dateigröße : 19346944 Bytes > MIME-Typ : image/x-panasonic-rw2 > Bildgrõße : 4760 x 3464 > Kamerahersteller: Panasonic > Kameramodell : DMC-G3 > Zeitstempel des Bildes: 2013:02:08 17:24:35 > Bildnummer : > Belichtungszeit : 1/13 s > Blende : F1.8 > Belichtungskontrolle: 0 EV > Blitz : Blitz nicht ausgelöst, festgelegter Modus > Blitzkontrolle : 0 > Brennweite : 45.0 mm (35 mm äquivalent: 90.0 mm) > Entfernung des Motivs: > ISO Geschwindigkeit: 160 > Belichtungsmodus: Automatisch > Messmodus : Mehr-Segment > Makromodus : Aus > Bildqualität : Roh > Exif-Auflösung : > Weißabgleich : Automatisch > Vorschau : image/jpeg, 6345 Bytes > Copyright : > Exif-Kommentar : > > > > > Am 12.02.2013, 02:12 Uhr, schrieb johannes hanika <[email protected]>: > >> does the exiv2 command line utility report it correctly? >> >> On Tue, Feb 12, 2013 at 2:06 PM, thouks <[email protected]> wrote: >>> Hi, >>> I have 2 Olympus lenses where sometimes the exif data of the jpg isn't >>> read >>> correctly by darktable. >>> No lens name and data, no picture dimension. >>> For the raw-file darktable shows everything correct. >>> With EOG, gthumb, geeqie everything is fine. >>> I deleted all from the library and reimported, no change. >>> In my databas are already a lot of pictures made with the same hardware, >>> where everything is ok. >>> Is there anything wrong with my files? >>> >>> Best regards >>> thorsten >>> >>> Original jpg and raw: >>> https://dl.dropbox.com/u/352146/exif_test/exif_test.tar.gz >>> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >>> Free Next-Gen Firewall Hardware Offer >>> Buy your Sophos next-gen firewall before the end March 2013 >>> and get the hardware for free!
