Perhaps one more advice for your laptop.
If you need storagr space in addition to high I/O speed (which is our cases
generally for photo processing), have a look on the hybrid disk from
Seagate (momentus XT serie). It gathers ssd+hdd and give you better result
than with a 7200 rpm hdd (but not as good as the 15k ones :-p).
The bigger one I have recently seen is the 750 gigas one (which embedded 8
gigas of ssd).
I would definitely recommand those hybrid disk for laptop and actually I
have one in my workstation which make wonderfull job.
Hope that helps a little bit more.
Note: for the cpu depend on your budget but definitely, that's a lot of
money 370 for a "small" speed up.
