If you create your own styles, they're stored in $HOME/.config/darktable/styles and you can copy (backup) them from there. That's nice! Unfortunately you cannot just dump new styles there and have Darktable find them!
Apparently imported styles are stored elsewhere. The question is: Where does Darktable store styles?
