Hi,
reading some pleasant articles about Darktable has be the reason for me
to hunt for an laptop in the bay and give Linux a trial again. Last time
(about 15 years ago) I used Suse. Now I decided for the newest Mint with
Cinnamon desktop.
I installed Darktable 1.14 by using the ppa's.
Now I'm very sorry to bother you with an issue I can't get solved with
my small knowledge:
The camera is not recognized...
I started Darktable with command line parameter '-d camctl' and found
the following lines in the Log:
[camera_control] 1 cameras connected
[camera_control] failed to initialize camera Nikon DSC D700 (PTP
mode) on port usb:001,004
[camera_control] failed to initialize device Nikon DSC D700 (PTP
mode) on port usb:001,004, probably causes are: locked by another
application, no access to udev etc.
Does anybody know what to do to get it running?
