I just yesterday upgraded from darktable 1.1 to 1.2, and the first thing
I noticed was the new keystone correction feature. I saw in the release
notes that it is supposed to be "more intuitive" - but for me it
destroys one of the things I liked best about darktable. Or perhaps it
is just me who is too stupid to use it.

I have by now, in principle, figured out how to use it (clicking "ok" in
the middle etc). That is not the problem.

In 1.1 I used to set both the vertical and horizontal slider gradually
down (most of the time they ended up having the same negative values)
until the results were good. This was a quick and easy procedure. Now in
1.2, if I select "vertical" and drag the points so that the lines run
parallel to vertical lines in my image, I get a distorted image. If I
correct horizontally as well and align the horizontal lines parallel to
each other, then I get _approximately_ what I want. But all in all it
still sometimes seems to produce results that I didn't expect.

All of this already takes considerably more time than just setting two
sliders to the right value. Once I have gone through this procedure, I
have to rotate the image again since it is now tilted. And I have to
crop it to remove black borders - losing some pixels in the process.

That way, keystone correction now takes more than 3x the time it took in
1.1. Or perhaps I am doing something completely wrong, in which case I
would welcome instructions how to do it right.

Keystone correction used to be hard to do when I used GIMP for all my
photo editing tasks, and with darktable 1.1 I finally had a tool that
made it easy. Now with 1.2 it is just as hard as it was in GIMP. :(

Dear darktable developers, if you are reading this - could you bring
back the possibility to use sliders, or at least otherwise make this
less painful? After all you can also rotate with a slider.
