hey,

we only import metadata. if you want a copy, you can first import your
images from the left panel (import -> folder) and then move the images you
want where you want (right panel: selected image[s] -> move/copy).

the import module in the left panel will also offer a button to import and
copy from mass storage or camera, if you compiled with gphoto2 support
(USE_CAMERA_SUPPORT=on in cmake) and have a device connected.
