I'm afraid, that this issue is not resolved.
It sounds like Bug #9361
http://www.darktable.org/redmine/issues/9361

For me the problem exists as long as I have used the group feature. When
deleting the config file also all groups are removed - so the problem is
gone. But, when you use groups the next time the problem will reappear :-(
