Hi Christian, Darktables current demosaic algorithms (PPG and AMAZE) seem to cope less wel with high noise. Rawtherapee has Both IGV and LMMSE specifically for high noise. For my camera I find both IGV and VNG4 to do quite nicely at high noise for demosaicing at high noise giving also better results at denoising and denoise profiling.
Hence I wrote a home-brew demosaic code called stagger (done) and am busy porting, IGV (done) and VNG4 from Rawtherapee to a branch of darktable on github.
