Not sure about the colour cast (I thought Canon was known for having more saturated reds than Nikon, for example), but all of the other attributes are what I would expect. The camera does more processing on images to produce a JPG than darktable does. Darktable tries to do as little as possible to give you an image to serve as the basis of your processing. The camera uses secret heuristics to "guess" the best image processing settings to provide as pleasing a result as possible across diverse photographic conditions. It's precisely this ability to vary the processing between images before throwing away any information that gives us the biggest advantage over in-camera processing. But you probably knew all of that already. ;) Regards, Rob ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn Graph Databases - Download FREE O'Reilly Book "Graph Databases" is the definitive new guide to graph databases and their applications.
