I don't see those when I want to ingest a directory. Could it be that 
these options exist only if you connect your camera directly? I never do 
that cause it's way faster to copy from the card reader, which is 
basically ingestion of a directory.

For the point of the OP: actually I use a simple perl/tk script to 
import from the card reader. It does some renaming and splitting to 
dirs, mainly using exiftool. Probably one could adopt that to your 
usecase. It's slightly coded to my usage, but it's not really complex. 
If it helps, you could get it just drop me a note.
