Hi everyone!
I've been considering an upgrade for my graphics card for quite a while,
since my old GeForce GT220 does not provide OpenCL, but I've been putting
it on hold until now. My better half will inherit my current monitor, and
I'll be getting a Dell U2713H. In order to drive it and take full advantage
of it I'll need a newer, more powerful graphics card, with 30 bpp and a
DisplayPort connection.
Having read about the monitor and possible card companions, and about cards
and darktable and OpenCL, I'm considering an Nvidia Quadro K620, 2GB, which
apparently has all I need at an affordable(ish) price (

My motherboard is an Asus P6T SE which only provides PCI Express x16 2.0,
thus a card that is not a newer PCI Express 3.0. I figure buying a 3.0 card
and connecting it to a 2.0 bus is a waste of money. Or am I missing
something here?
FWIW, I'm not a gamer and use the computer mostly for internet, darktable
and gimp.
Before I part with my money, I'd like to know what the experts in the list
think of the setup I'm planning. Does anyone have a similar setup? Will it
work well with darktable?
