Using the "search filmroll" entry you can do it relatively quickly and without losing database-only info (like groups) and probably also keeping the thumbnails: - exit darktable - move the whole folder tree in your file manager - start darktable - notice that dt can't find any images. - use the "search filmroll" to point dt to the new root of your folder tree.
