For panoramas I first do some RAW processing (lens correction, horizon
leveling, WB (setting the same color temp.), noise reduction and then
output to TIFF without sharpening and at full size. TIFFs load fine in
Hugin. Then edit the resulting panorama TIFF (Hugin's output), usually
in Gimp: crop, color balance, levels and sharpening.

Into pano2vr then :)
