Yes, but 300mb doesn't approach the >6gb mipmaps cache on an ssd drive
which has not quite finished generation after nearly 3 days.  But I was
tired of waiting for thumbnails to appear.  Would be much better if I
would store the files locally but they are stored after being worked on my
server which I then source via nfs or ssh or ...
