Thanks for sharing insights in your workflow! Maybe this is the way to go for me as well regarding that point. >> * I use the color marks for the development status red=nothing done but >> want to edit, yellow=already treated but not finished or not satisfied >> and green=done > > I use the darktable|exported tag for this : > > * not rejected and not exported = I have to deal with this image later > > * exported = I consider my work finished for this image, at least > temporarily. > > I don't trust RAW for really long-term storage so I export all my > pictures when I'm statisfied with them anyway. > > There's also a darktable|changed tag set automatically, so > "darktable|changed and not darktable|exported" tells you the ongoing > work. I am aware of these tags and used them already for filters. Anyway, the color marks are helpful to get a fast visual overview of your keeper's states, which is one reason I prefer them for the traffic light state visualization. What I dislike about complex filtering is that film roll and filter cannot be separated. When I select a film roll (or whatever is the common basis of a set of images, maybe an event tag, time period or whatever) and want to switch between different additional filter presets, I have to save my basic selection criterion and my additional criteria within one preset, ending up with the same presets for each and every film roll what makes things very confusing. Is there a solution for that? Unfortunately, one cannot duplicate the collect images module.
