Well, basically they concluded that darktable is together with RawTherapee the most advanced open source Raw-converter. They even said that both come close to commercial tools like Lightroom. Where they found darktable behind (although it was the best of all programs mentioned) was in "highlight reconstruction" and "clarity". And for the record: the articles author is a well known author of Lightroom books :-) But still I found the comparison quiet balanced and all in all an appreciation of darktable and rawTherapee.
