A lot depends on how the dependencies are being handled. For instance marble has been giving me big dependency headaches in the past for programs that use this map tool. For darktable, the ideal default situation is that the metadata on the left in darkroom should directly reflect all the fields in the metadata capturing panel on the right in lightable. If I can contribute in any way, I am more than happy to attempt. I am competent in C, semicompetent in C++ but not at all in GTK. Kind regards, willem
