Hi,

I just wanted to follow the instructions in Pascal's video on backtraces.
But I am not sure is this is something useful (I imported TIF images from my slide scanner):

Did anyone file a bug report already?

Same here. My photos are on an external HD. I import the folders into Darktable and then edit the photos. It seems that Darktable is always generating the thumbnails again and again, even when I go from darkroom to lighttable. When I double click on a thumbnail while DT is (again) generating the thumbnails DT freezes. I have already deleted ~/.cache/darktable/* but the problem remains. I run Darktable 1.6.6+51~g4ec9d19 on an Ubuntu 14.04 notebook (ext4 filesystem). FC

Seems it is the same that happens to me:
changing from one big collection to another causes dt to rebuild the
thumbnails.
Trying to open a picture in darkroom mode _before_ all thumbnails have
been recreated gives a big chance that dt will be unrespondable and I
have to close and restart.

File system is ext4 for / and ext3 for /home.

I hope this will be resolved by the permanent thumbnail cache planned
vor V2.
