as I understand it's not the date/time the picture was taken but the picture/edits were changed that he wants to filter for.

date    

the date when *the photo was taken*, in the format /YYYY:MM:DD/

time    

the time (date /and/ time of day) when *the photo was taken*, in the format /YYYY:MM:DD hh:mm:ss/
