Hello,
I'm personnally using the following scheme :
media/jean-luc/Photos/JPEGs/$(ROLL_NAME)/$(FILE_NAME)
which creates a folder with the roll's name and then puts each photo into it.
Anyway, I can't see why Tony's scheme would behave as you describe. There must
be something odd with your pictures' names...
