Hi,

At first it was my eyes tricking me, but no: the colour picker's
swatch is not homogeneous - why?
http://tech.kovacs-telekes.org/files/dt-colour-picker/1.jpg shows an example;
http://tech.kovacs-telekes.org/files/dt-colour-picker/2.png is the
same photo, intentionally blown out by adding +10 EV - open this in
Gimp, open the colour picker there (or press 'O'), select Pick only +
Use Info window, and go from the bottom left corner to the top right
corner of the square along the diagonal.

What's the point in adding a gradient? Is it some side (or indended)
effect of theming/skinning? Is there a benefit (e.g. adding a gradient
makes judging colour easier or similar)?

64-bit Mint 17.0, Darktable 1.6.8 from PPA.

Thanks,
Kofa
