Hi, Thanks for the answer. I use KDE; my GTK2 theme is Mist, GTK3 oxygen-gtk. I've now switched GTK2 to Clearlooks (that's the only one where it was selectable), fired up a new Darktable instance, but it looks the same. Well, it's not a big issue.
