Dear all,

I'm quite new to RAW and darktable and having read already quite a lot
including darktable's user guide I'm still left with some general questions
with regard to its sharpen module:

Is there a rule of thumb with regard to sharpening (maybe something I could
add as presets)?

What are the units in the module? Having looked at the Cambridge in Color
guide [1] they recommend radius settings of < 1 pixel while darktable defaults
to 2.0 - is this also set in pixels?

Workflow: Should one start with radius, continue with amount and set threshold
last?

I'm currently trying to learn darktable with a set of pictures taken in
Tuscany last June; can you recommend starting points / rules of thumb for
categories like
- landscape (wide)
- landscape (telephoto details)
- lovely small cities with all its alleys
- architectural details
- cathedrals, outside an inside (mostly taken with ISO 1600 and without
a tripod - btw, profiled denoise is just awesome!)

Thank you and also all contributors to darktable, which is just incredible!

Best,
B.M.
