Yes, I saw the man. It says: [--core <darktable options>] All command line parameters following --core are passed to the darktable core and handled as standard parameters. It doesn't say explicitly that I should use exactly the same options as the darktable command, so I didn't use them. If somebody could update the man for the next release.
