I'm in the process of updating a program and would appreciate some
advice on the relative merits of different database formats.
I have a simple Document Management system (in Delphi 5 Pro) that uses
flat-file databases with a maximum of about 20,000 records, used by 60
people in our office. The databases are currently dBase III format. I
was considering changing to Access, although I guess the other option is
Paradox.
Could anybody give me some advice on the relative merits of the
different systems, or point me towards some discussion of the options.
