New reply on DataCleaner's online discussion forum (https://datacleaner.org/forum):
Dennis replied to subject 'Hive/Impala connections won't work' ------------------- That is indeed not easy to find out. I made a quick test using jvisualvm to see what the classloader loaded first, and that is indeed the new driver. I also took a look at the Hive JDBC source code, and I'm afraid it is bad news: The newest driver is acting in exactly the same way; throwing a "not supported" error when it shouldn't. This will probably require a change in MetaModel or the Hive JDBC driver. I've added an issue in our internal bugtracker so we can get this taken care of ASAP, and we should get it fixed soon, but either of them will require them to accept our change first, as well as make a release containing our fix before we can start using it in DataCleaner, which will add some delay. It would be possible to build a JAR containing the fixed driver or MetaModel workaround as soon as we make the fix, though. That would of course be experimental, but could soothe the wait. Would you like us to send you a JAR with the update when we've fixed it? ------------------- View the topic online to reply - go to https://datacleaner.org/topic/1143/Hive-Impala-connections-won%27t-work -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DataCleaner-notify" group.
