Nick,

Yes. We are in a bit of a transition phase right now. Sam passed
official maintainership of the DataMapper project to myself, and
Dirkjan (dbussink) has stepped up to maintain the DataObjects project
with Alex (myabc) working on the jRuby port of DO.

The main reason I've left the "sam" repos as the stable ones is just
because we were doing alot of work in dkubb/dm-core to rewrite the
specs and docs, and I didn't want to confuse anyone by moving stuff
around. The long term plan was to use the "datamapper" user on github
(that I registered) as the place for the "official" repos to live.. so
we'd have github.com/datamapper/dm-core, and so on.

I think though I'll be setting this up shortly, because I can't really
add or remove anyone from the sam repos, and it just makes sense to
move to the "final" locations as early as possible.

> And IRC channel is #datamapper?

Yes, and there's also the #dm-hacking which is for discussion about
DM's internals and future direction. I encourage anyone who is
interested in DataMapper development to join both channels.
