I've looked into that too -- I don't believe it's part of standard DM/ DO. I think you'd have to go through DataObjects to talk straight to the DB, formulating the INSERT query explicitly. It's been on the infinite list of stuff for me to do, but too low priority. Another possibility is if you can import a csv to the DB?
The biggest challenge for an ORM is what to do when not all the saves are successful.
