I have been lurking on the list for a couple of months. I have a day job as a product manager with one of the Bangalore-based eCommerce companies. Recently I have been wondering about the sort of data / information needs of citizens not being met or can be more efficiently met with the use of technology, and if a business model exists for a for-profit entity to provide such services. To make it less abstract - you could say Next Drop type opportunities in our society. I hope the conversation on this list will help in some way.
