Are there any open source applications already that perform similar work of aggregating data from different sources and formats and provide it in a smooth API.
I have different applications that work on different platforms and technologies and this kind of API can help in acting as a one mega database server for all apps. Atleast it can act a data repository for MIS and analysis for BI.
