Very interesting, a good place to start would be to enquire with the
experts at https://www.irfca.org/ if havent done so already, most notably
Samit Roychoudhury who has authored the most detailed maps of the railway
network
<https://www.europeanrailtimetable.eu/the-great-indian-railway-atlas-408-p.asp>,
and
S Aravind and Deepak Saravanan who have done extensive route research
<https://www.railpost.in/a-phenomenal-effort/> on the network.
