In Karnataka, we have revenue administration and which are taken. for all the references' District: looked after and headed by Deputy Commissioner Sub-Dsitrict: which combines two or more taluks and is headed by Assistant Commissioner Taluks: which are Headed by Tahasildar Hobli: this is the unit where number of villages and gram panchayats are put together, at this level generally we have Grade-II tahasildar and here we also have NAADA Kacheri (means local office of revenue department) Gram Panchayats: here one or more than one villages constitute one gram panchayat depending upon the population and area Villages: these are the smallest unit of local revenue units. this is what we have as administrative areas
