Hi,

Probably like many of you, I'm using a DP app I built in the 1992-95 era
-- one that holds all of our case information, calendaring, and contact
information for a 5 attorney law office. It hasn't been modified in 8
or 9 years, and I'm pretty sure I'll still be using it when I retire in
3-5 years. I marvel at its capability and durability almost every day.
For the thousandth time -- THANK YOU LOU!

I ran into a problem today that I wonder if anyone has a quick answer
to. I need the old WP51 rectangle capture and paste ability, but in a
windows text system -- preferably Word, WordPad or NotePad or even WP9,
10, 11.

I'm trying to explain to non-wp51 law users how they can populate a csv
data file by doing what I do effortlessly with WP51, which is block and
move rectangle.

In this case, every line begins almost the same way except for the
numbering as shown below. The task is to move the second data set so it
ends up at the end of each row of the first column.set. With wp51, I
just use alt-f4 to mark and cont-f4 to grab rectangle and then drop it
at end of first line.

My question is can a commonly availble windows program do the same?
