Yes that does happen, so you need to leave an empty record in the lookup
table...

Yes. This will work. But I'm not sure what happens when the user hits F5
on
that link when the ::C field is blank. I think they are placed in the
subpanel in Create, with a record they can't save. I think this will
confuse
users.
