There should be no problems with using DP2.6Y with an older version of
DP.SYS. I think that many years ago I supplied users with the
directions for making DP.SYS from DATA.MSG using MCREATE.COM. With
this new version there is an updated version of DATA.MSG; it is only
slightly modified with some help for new features, but there is nothing
of critical importance, so using older versions of DP.SYS is perfectly okay.
