Malkie, I'm not seeing this behavior. When I set up a Shell entry with a "Default Directory" that is different from where the DP program is run from, DP runs and then looks for databases in the "Default Directory".
Are you sure your shell entry is actually running the "dp.exe" program and not a batch file (which might be changing the directory)? Also, do you have anything special (such as Command Line options or Preloaded Commands) set under Advanced Options?
