Hi, I know from Ralph Alvy's book that a TXX file can shrink, for instance during a "big clean".
I did a similar export/import (to change the structure), and the TXX file was reduced to *one-third* of its original size, going from 790 to 240 kB. Apparently there has been no loss of data. I tested that by comparing CSV files of the panels containing variable-length text fields before and after the export/import operation. But, just to double-check it, I'd like to know whether such massive size reductions are normal.
