I'm with Brian - I know of no way to edit a prompt and also used to delete and start again.
BUT under the version of Tame 6.0orc15 I'm currently running, it does give you "right click" mouse copy and paste options within DP. I'm assuming you want to only slightly modify the prompt and editing would save a bit on the typing. I now copy the original prompt to clip board and then delete the old one and paste it into the new RV and edit the changes that way. In fact if you sit the cursor on the original report variable, the prompt is actually displayed on screen. Left click and block the prompt and right click to copy. Then create new report variable with same RV number directly below the orig RV and right click and paste the original prompt into the displayed field and then modify before saving. Once done delete the original RV. If you are running a later version of Tame - that is one option available and it is very quick and simple. The copy and paste tame function is also handy when wanting to copy things between databases in some instances where DP's built-in block and copy will not work across different databases. We run several similar different databases and I like anything that speeds up my "hunt and peck" typing skills PS Hi Brian - daughter Karen is now living and teaching music in Sydney - this will probably mean more frequent trips across the ditch - been a across number of times of recent years, but always further North. I think the last time in Sydney would be back in 1994. Annaleys and I will have to catch up with you for a beer sometime this year - assuming you are still in Sydney.
