Victor - there are probably a couple of ways to approach getting this done
but if it were up to me I'd have a additional two fields: A single
character box in which I'd put an  "X" if I intended to override the
default amount and then a small text entry line to explain why the numbers
don't match. Then the formula for the third field would read something like
"if ["X" Box] is " " then Field 1 else "Field 3". Got it?
